The fifth Slovak satellite, Marína, successfully launched into space yesterday morning aboard a Falcon 9 rocket as part of the Transporter-17 mission from Vandenberg Space Force Base in California.
It is the second Slovak private satellite, following its predecessor Veronika. Marína's mission is to monitor space weather and measure radiation in space.
The Faculty of Aeronautics of Technical University of Košice provides satellite communication and control for this mission. Yesterday at 12:03:59 CEST, we successfully intercepted its historic first message, which you can see in the image.
